Xi'an logistics park holds promotional event to strengthen international ties
International guests and major import and export companies from Shaanxi province attended a promotional event at the Xi’an International Trade and Logistics Park on July 1.
The event sought to highlight the park’s role in overseas investment and attracting inward investment. The park’s management committee also solicited a wide range of opinions on international routes, the supply of goods and operational directions to provide practical, convenient and tailored logistics services for businesses.
The intercontinental freight train Chang’an, which connects inland Chinese cities with cities and ports in Europe and Central Asia, was promoted on the day. Marc Van Peel, chairman of the Board of Directors of Antwerp Port, said that he looked forward to seeing Antwerp as the terminal of Chang’an in the future and that cooperation among cities and ports along the Silk Road was of great importance.
Foreign attendees, many of whom represented logistics industries in European countries, spoke highly of the zone after learning of its current scope and development potential.
Organizers hoped the event would stimulate cooperation deals among various Chinese, Central Asian and European parties and help build the park into the largest inland trade and logistic hub in China.
