Xi'an jam-packed with tourists during Spring Festival
Over the Feb 4-10 Spring Festival holiday, Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, received a total of 16.53 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 30.16 percent, and earned a total of 14.48 billion yuan ($2.13 billion) in tourism revenue, a year-on-year increase of 40.35 percent.
Xi'an launched 251 activities revolving around 12 major themes, attracting tourists from all over the world and providing an ample boost to Xi'an's tourism industry.

The Dayan (Big Wild Goose) Pagoda Cultural and Leisure Scenic Area received 940,000 tourists, an increase of 71.53 percent year-on-year; Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum received 384,700 tourists, up 4.64 percent, and the Xi'an City Wall Scenic Spot received 154,900 tourists, up 4.73 percent.

Beiyuanmen Fengqing Street received 2.67 million tourists, Bailucang Scenic Area received 1.1 million tourists, and Yongxingfang received 510,800 tourists.
In addition, the Xi'an Tanggu Tourist Resort, Bailuyuan Ski Resort and Lantian Zhulin Ski Resort and attracted many visitors.
