Chang'an freight train trips increase nearly 60 percent in Q1
The China-Europe Chang'an freight train made 284 trips in the first quarter of 2019, a year-on-year increase of nearly 60 percent, of which 148 were departure trips and 136 were return trips.

The value of imports and exports was $300 million with a year-on-year increase of 3.4 percent, and the freight volume was 101,000 metric tons with a year-on-year increase of 28.3 percent.
It's worth noting that the import and export value of the freight train to the countries along the Belt and Road was $180 million, a year-on-year increase of 3.8 percent, accounting for 58.4 percent of the total.
Since the beginning of this year, Xi'an customs has made numerous efforts to promote business reform and has strived to improve the timeliness of customs clearance.
In March, the overall import customs clearance time was shortened by 53.9 percent, and the overall export customs clearance time was shortened by 37.3 percent.
