Xi’an-Baku international freight train opens
An international freight train originating from Xi'an has arrived in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan recently, marking the opening of the rail-sea multimodal transport route across the Caspian Sea to Baku.

The Xi'an-Baku international freight train departed from Xinzhu Station in Xi'an International Trade and Logistics (ITL) Park on June 18, carrying about 1,000 metric tons of goods, such as machinery, equipment, and household appliances, with a value of 2 million yuan ($290,296.83).

The train will not only improve the construction of Xi'an Port's open logistics channel to west China, but also provide new channels for trade and economic development between China and Azerbaijan.
