China-Europe freight train develops rapidly
In recent years, Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, has accelerated the construction of a modern transportation system and three-dimensional Silk Road channels, as an important hub for integrated transportation and a gateway for opening up.
The China-Europe Chang'an freight train is shortening the trade distance between many cities in China and the countries and regions along the Silk Road.
Its adoption of "manifests merging," a new clearance model initiated by the freight train, has greatly saved customs clearance costs and time.

Located in Xi'an International Trade and Logistics (ITL) Park, Xinzhu Railway Station is the starting point of the freight train. It is striving to become Xi'an's logistics distribution center of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
In May of this year, the station added two new loading and unloading lines. In addition, its highest annual throughput reached 800,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units).
"ITL Park will promote the high-quality development of the China-Europe freight train to enhance the economic and trade cooperation of the Belt and Road, as well as build a new pattern of opening up," said Sun Yimin, director of the management committee of ITL Park.
