ITL Park to build Xi'an inland national logistics hub
Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, was recently selected as 23 hubs included on the 2019 national logistics hub construction list, according to a notice released by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Transport.
As a pioneer of China's inland port construction, the Xi'an inland national logistics hub is located in Xi'an International Trade and Logistics (ITL) Park, which is a core part of the national multimodal transport demonstration base and the core area of the China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
With the cumulative investment of over 35 billion yuan ($4.95 billion), ITL Park has attracted a number of enterprises to settle in it, including China Merchants Logistics, China Post, JD, and Transfar.
Covering a planned total area of 12 square kilometers, the Xi'an inland national logistics hub includes seven core projects, with a total investment of 11.64 billion yuan.
It possesses the largest railway freight center in Asia. The roads in the hub are seamlessly connected with seven highways through four interchanges.
It is home to the China-Europe Chang'an freight train, which has already opened 10 international routes, covering 45 major countries in Central Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
In the future, ITL Park will improve relevant supporting policies to promote hub construction, such as fund support, land use security, project introduction, tax and fee concessions, as well as personnel training.
